Underway to practice anchoring over structure and tog4/13/12do a little tog fishing. Got anchored up and fished for about 30 minutes around slack water. Landed two shorts, and had one go in the rocks. Pulled anchor and ran the boat for training. Made another trip to drum grounds without seeing anything but bait balls on the graph. Have another training run planned for tomorrow.  Report to follow.

Took the LIL’ ANGLER II out for a quick sea trial this afternoon.  Headed up to the Coral Beds to see if there were any Black Drum around.  My thoughts of an early Black Drum season were crushed today, we did not mark a single drum.  The good news is the LIL’ ANGLER II preformed like a dream, and we are ready to bring home the meat.  Tomorrow we getting underway with Capt. Chet for some additional sea trials and a little Tautog fishing.  Hopefully the tog will cooperate, will post a report(good or bad) when we return.

We launched the LIL’ ANGLER II today, and are ready to start fishing the Delaware Bay and Atlantic Ocean.  For the rest of April we will be fishing Tog and Black Drum.  The first part of May we will target Tog and Drum.  Starting May 22nd we will shift to Black Sea Bass and Thresher shark.  Plenty of charter dates available all summer.

LIL’ ANGLER II  has many prime days available for charter.  Whether you want to fish the Delaware Bay or Atlantic Ocean, we are your boat.  Black drum fishing should be fantastic this year, as Dr. Fox from Delaware State University is reporting 20 to 30 pound drum regularly showing up in their research nets off the coast.  Black Sea Bass season is also right around the corner.  We currently have Wednesday May 23rd, the second day of the season, available for charter.  If you can’t put a full charter together, call about a make-up trip.  I will be scheduling at least one make-up charter per week.  If May 23rd is not booked by April 30th, it will be a make-up trip.  Don’t forget black drum make-up dates are April 20th & 27th, and May 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, and 17th.  There is currently room for all days.  Call 302-430-3414 for more information
