black drumBlack drum fishing season is almost here, and Delaware Family Fishing is now booking drum fishing charters.  Due to the warm water temps it seems all the fish are arriving early.  With reports of drum being caught on both sides of the Delaware Bay, there is a possibility of phenomenal fishing as soon as the new moon in April.  In addition to the new moon on April 21st, the closest and largest full moon of the year will be on Saturday May 5th.  We have scheduled open boat/make up trips April 20th, 27th, May 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, and 17th.  Additional dates can be added if necessary.  Cost will be $110 per person bait and tackle included.  Need a minimum of 6 with a maximum of 9.  Reservations are a must 302-430-3414.  The following is an email from 2011 client.

"I’ve got one lucky kid! No kidding. First he wins a fishing trip with you, …., and cool fishing gear. We book with you , go out last night, and you put Grant onto a 64.4 lb. black drum measuring 48 inches! Since he weighs 77 lbs. and stands 55 inches tall, it was a battle. But you got it on board, and over to Bill’s Bait and Tackle for a weigh-in just under the 9 pm closing.

If that thunderstorm hadn’t come up, we might have boated a few more. Great time, and a wonderful experience. I hope to do it again.
